Caravan to Midnight (radio show)

''Caravan to Midnight'' is a subscription video podcast and syndicated radio talk show with new shows every Monday-Thursday. Host John B. Wells created ''Caravan to Midnight'' in late 2012 as a result of the Fukushima reactor meltdowns. In December 2012 ''Caravan to Midnight'' began with a new show Monday through Thursday every week. In October 2014 the show was expanded to five days a week. Also in October 2014, the show became available on both IOS and android platforms. CTM hosts a variety of knowledgeable guests every week and the conversation is built upon hard-hitting, alternative news stories and opinions about topics and events ranging from conspiracy theories and current events to paranormal, world news, health and nutrition, science, politics, religion, entertainment, music and pop culture. According to the ''Caravan to Midnight'' website, the program offers subscriptions to their video broadcasts for $5 a month and individual episodes for ninety-nine cents each.
''Caravan to Midnight'' host John B. Wells had been a fill-in host for ''Coast to Coast AM'' since 2005 until January 2012, when he replaced Ian Punnett as the Saturday evening and second Sunday evening host.
== Controversy ==
Controversy surrounded Wells’ ''Caravan to Midnight'', which he began as a paid subscription video podcast in December 2013 while still soaring high in the ratings with ''Coast to Coast AM''. Wells’ ratings on any given Saturday night or weekend on ''Coast to Coast AM'' yielded more listeners (1.8 million plus) than George Noory’s numbers combined (275,000) for the week.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=John B. Wells Fired for Being Too Popular and Truthful: An Exclusive Interview )〕 Wells had stated that he planned to do both shows simultaneously, with ''Caravan to Midnight'' in the daytime and ''Coast to Coast AM'' in the weekend evening. Wells formally announced the launch of ''Caravan to Midnight'' on January 25, 2014, which would debut on February 3, 2014.〔 Wells was fired from ''Coast to Coast AM'' on January 28, 2014. There is much speculation among ''Coast to Coast AM'' fans as to the fact that Noory stated Wells left ''Coast to Coast AM'' when Wells said he never did and that he was asked to leave.
Wells was extremely popular with ''Coast to Coast AM'' fans, many of whom demanded and posted on Facebook for Wells to take the throne as his numbers on any given night rivaled the show’s founder Art Bell who also averaged millions of listeners.〔 Many outraged ''Coast to Coast AM'' fans and loyal Wells supporters followed Wells over to ''Caravan to Midnight''.〔
On February 7, 2014, Bell posted public support and sympathy for the freshly fired Wells with a headline story he published, “Art Bell Tolls For Wells”, on his official website and his official Facebook page. Bell cited similar problems he experienced when dealing with the ego of a jealous Noory.
